Station 42: Phase 1 Complete!

Well we have the Station 42 project to the first phase of completion. The buildings are all done and we have about 7 ships and a number of vehicles ready for the table as well as a number of miniatures. We still have a lot to do not only on the Station itself but also on a number of the surrounding locations. We have already made good headway on the pirate base and we should have some updated for that soon. Here are some pics of the Station as it is:

So lovely. What are the containers you are using for the "roofs" of your buildings?

I recognize the hair curlers as the legs.

Eli those packages come from various meat products from several stores. WalMart, Aldi, other grocery stores. I have a ton of them in various different sizes. We have some many stocked we mostly through them away.

Sweet Jesus man! And I thought the pics on the LAF were good!

I'm very pleased to see something that doesn't look Gothic or Anime.

Thanks for sharing,

Faust

Absolutely brilliant! Looks great all set up. Where's the cloth from?

Its a photo backdrop. Its one of my favorites but its getting to old and worn out for me to use for photography.

I'll add my "Holy Hannah!" to the chorus of others. Looks fantastic, congrats on the completion of phase one, and even the photos themselves are incredibly well done.

Awesome job! Very well made!

As Faust has commented, it's great to see a wargaming sci-fi scenery without stupid skulls everywhere (is it really neccessary that the W.C. building look like a gothic cathedral?)

I have a question. What did you finally made with the "Night Raven" spaceship? It looks very interesting...

Cheers

I haven't finished the "Night Raven" yet. I have a number of ships I really need to get to work on.
Yeah "Gothic" doesn't really feel futuristic to me. I was definately trying to avoid the "Dark Future" look with these.

I'm so late to this party, but great work here! What's the base vehicle for the drill? Looks vaugely Gi-Joeish...
